Photo Vault App Reviews
not a fan. difficult to use, cant actually look at the photos, just preview them. if I were to do it again i wouldnt buy it. but it does keep pictures private
Changes Picture Quality
This app drasticly changes the picture quality for the worse when you import pictures.
basically useless in any real way. It has major major flaws. First: You can ONLY save files onto your primary drive. IE…the C drive. No support to move the archive to anywhere except C drive so if you have a small drive youre screwed even if you have a larger secondary drive installed. Second: the ONLY way to view your content is using the basic viewer that the developer has supplied. No way to full screen or resize. Just tiny postage stamp sized window view. Third: And this is the most disturbing part. All you have to do is navigate to the library folder and click on the secured data folder…move it to any other location and POOF all your content is unlocked and fully viewable in the open. So to recap. No security beyond just "finding" your content from the finder app, No external viewer support only the crappy included viewer and all your contanet must reside on the system disc. Yup, pretty much useless. Your milage may vary but dont get your hopes up. Its not a very good app at all.
Needed it to store some private photos and its a great app =) it stores all photos in full quality and lets you preview them in fullscreen. Perfect for storing the photos nobody should see. Thanks =)
I dont know much about programming, but Im pretty handy with a computer. And this Photo Vault I didnt like at all. After tryiing to put some of my private pictures in it I found that it would not display them in all their glory. Just very small slides is all it would do. I wanted a premier slife show and it would not do that YET! Pics are just tooooooo small. I deleted this thing as soon as I tried it. I hope its improved soon. Keep trying kids!
I downloaded the app and then uploaded a number of photos as a test. They cannot be viewed in full size it seems and then when you go to export photos, you can only export one photo at a time, not a very useful tool in that regard. It wasnt very intuitively obvious how things worked either. Still looking for a top-notch photo security app for the Mac.
I downloaded the cell phone version of photo vault , because it is fast and very easy to secure multiple photos in seconds…its very user friendly. I have tried for several days to see why this photo vault for the mac is such a total waste of time ,,,who ever thought of this program has no clue about the cell phone app.the other reviews are 100% on…dont waste your time withis program
This app doesnt even work! As soon as you open it it freezes, you cant do anything with not even close it. I had to restart my mac to get it off my screen. I have never wanted my money back for any app I have bought but i honestly do on this one. Completely worthless.
functon
The app does what i want it to do need more features like be able to group the picture .
touble shoot?
every time I type my password and hit enter it just highlights the dots? how to I get in ?!
While the app has some good featrues, the fact that the pictures that are put into the Vault are done as jpeg forme and not pictures means you have to reopen each picture when you want to see it. I found it difficult to manage the photos, keep track of what I had put into the vault and what I had deleted from my photo files. If these problems are fixed please let me know. I am looking for a different app.
